The children who served as models wore matching grey sweatshirts with an orange accent to match the palette of the visual identity. Contrasting backgrounds, also in appropriate colors were used to set of the foreground elements.
Special props were created for the photo shoot. Here a shot put “field” serves as a backdrop for the desired hand-posture to flip the marbles, thereby keeping with the olympic event theme.
Some of the props were more complicated. This game activity required the construction of a box with slits and custom painting to suit the color scheme of the product.
Sometimes finding the right prop really makes the difference. These kidney-bean shaped flippers were the perfect item for the shot.
The art direction for this photo shoot required three child models, a special wardrobe, more than sixty set-ups, multiple props for each shot, and fastidious attention to the hand posture in each shot. Much to the delight of the client, the photos were on-point for each activity.
